Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). About the job:
For our fast growing division Energy Solutions in (Helmond) in the Netherlands we are looking for a: System Engineer.
This role is based in our facility in Helmond, which is focused on the development and system integration of lithium-ion based C&I and BESS storage systems to integrate renewable energies.
The System Engineer is part of the R&D team and is responsible for the design, development and integration of our grid connected battery systems including current and new projects.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
Responsible for product verification and compliancy to legislation in different countries
Supplier management and change management at the supplier
Establishing appropriate test programs
Experience with DFx – Quality, cost and safety
Managing the system documentation and certification of our battery systems
Communication with suppliers and customers to ensure the functionality of our products is matching our client wishes
Develop, design, test and qualify Battery Storage Systems, including Battery Monitoring and Battery Management Systems.
Selection of components to be used, integration of the components in the system, design (electrical) schematics, support the installation.
Making sure certifications are met, approve systems for Factory Acceptance.
Use the knowledge acquired in electrical construction software packages (preferred AutoCAD electrical, EPLAN) to be successful in the mission.
What we ask for:

· At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role or as a system integrator
