About the job:
For our fast growing division Energy Solutions in Perth, WA at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Sales Manager, WA.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, Energy Solutions Australasia your mission will be to achieve sales plans for the WA region whilst enhancing the reputation of Exide Technologies as an ethical supplier of quality products. You will build strong customer relations with existing customers and expand the customer base.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
- Gain a thorough understanding of Exide’s product offerings and the market within which they operate. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the WA region to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify new business development opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share in the WA region.
- Lead WA ES Sales with a clear purpose in line with the budget and region objectives and work collaboratively with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Provide technical and commercial assistance to all customers to guarantee all safety and performance regulations are met.
- In time, develop and enhance your technical product knowledge across the major chemical systems offered by the company, including Exide's BESS offering. Develop a sound understanding of the basic functionality of said chemical systems.
- Develop and optimise the current and future business channels within the Energy Solutions and BESS WA segment to maximise profit and cash flow.
- Work always to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What we ask for:
- 5+ years’ proven sales management experience in an industrial environment.
- Proven track record of developing new business opportunities in the Australian region for Industrial applications.
- Knowledge of industrial battery, Telecoms, UPS, Utility or Solar markets essential.
- Degree qualification, or relevant industry experience; electrical engineering or electrical trade accepted.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
