Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, in Front-of- and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

About the job:

For our fast growing division Energy Solutions in (Rhoon) (the Netherlands) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Project & Servicemanager your mission will be: In this versatile role, you will combine your technical expertise with commercial skills and, together with the account manager, you will be the point of contact for customers with technical questions and commercial requests. You understand customer needs and know how to translate these into appropriate solutions for a variety of projects involving the implementation of stationary batteries, chargers and related items for the Energy Solutions Benelux division.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• Support account managers in the technical development of projects and project requests.
• Maintain customer contact and translate their requirements into feasible solutions, following internal training
• Occasional visits to customer sites in the Netherlands for technical advice, support or in preparation of larger project offers
• Internal and external central point of contact for all kinds of technical and commercial questions
• Drawing up and following up offers
• Managing profitability of projects and service contracts
• Reviewing service reports and following up on resulting actions
• Drawing up risk analyses and handling guarantee claims
• Giving training in cooperation with the account manager(s) to customers.

What we ask for:

• Bachelor's degree in electronic
• Several years of professional experience in comparable position in the electrical engineering
• Knowledge of UPS or emergency power systems is an advantage
